Ephesians 2:18-19 KJV
For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
Apostle Paul was drawing a parallel of what the message of Christ entailed. Jesus came to offer us the path to redemption, by granting us access in one Spirit which is the Holy Spirit. That access was made possible by His own sacrifice, that sacrifice costed Him His life which He offered up willingly on the cross and on that premise it united everyone, in every possible way, Greeks, Jew, Gentiles, there is no wall of division.
An understanding of this is what gives us a stronger perspective of who we truly are in Christ Jesus and what Jesus already did for us and so we don’t have to pay again for what was already paid for and we can enjoy that grace that was given to us freely by Christ Jesus.
This is the confidence we do have that we have been set free and are no longer slaves but sons.
Let us pray…
Father, we thank you for sonship and we thank you for access into the Holiest of all by what Jesus did.
